John Polk, who made a name for himself as a buyer of health care for the Council of Smaller Enterprises, now will be packaging medical services as the new head of a joint venture between Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Ohio and the Meridia Health System. Mr. Polk today, April 10, will assume his duties as chief executive of the joint venture, Medical Insurance Co.
