Andersen deal adds 'smaller' clients. (Arthur Andersen LLP acquires Financial Professional Services)

In an effort to expand its list of small business clients in Cleveland, Arthur Andersen LLP has acquired Financial Professional Services Inc. of Westlake. The acquisition marks the formation of the Cleveland office's first practice solely dedicated to small business clients, said Dett Hunter, managing partner of Arthur Andersen's local office.
The firm traditionally has served middle-market concerns and large public companies. The six-person Financial Professional Services caters to clients ranging from start-up businesses to companies that generate up to $10 million in annual revenue, Mr. Hunter said. He said the deal gives Arthur Andersen's local office a "good foundation" in the small business market that will be expanded, possibly through other acquisitions....
