Bruce Douglas said he plans to spend a lot of time and money in Cuyahoga County in his as-yet unofficial quest to be Ohio's next governor. Mr. Douglas, 62, a millionaire Toledo building contractor and engineer, is moving to make himself better known to Cuyahoga County's Democratic Party leadership and to voters.
He is visiting Cleveland early this week to scout for a campaign headquarters here and to attend a fundraising event with Vice President Gore. "Even though I am not a career politician, I am passionate about education, community policing and economic development," Mr. Douglas said.
