Plastics molder eyes Solon plant for growth

CRAIG UREY Crain News Service Tri-Tech Plastics LLC of Streetsboro has set its sights on growth, but is keeping secret for now just where it will expand. The injection plastics molder has expressed interest in a former Chrysler Corp. distribution center in Solon. Solon's Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council both have approved a revised site plan and parking variances for the site.

However, Tri-Tech president Wayne Rothman said his company is looking at more than one location for its planned expansion. 'We are going to grow and add a significant number of new presses,' he said in a Sept. 3 interview with Plastics News, a sister paper of Crain's Cleveland Business.
