All Pro Freight grows with acquisition of competitor.(All Pro Freight Systems Inc.)(Brief Article)

There's nothing fancy about Chris Haas' growth strategy for his trucking company, All Pro Freight Systems Inc. of Avon. Mr. Haas wants to buy the competition, and he did just that late last month in acquiring the assets of Metro USA, a trucking concern based in Rocky River. Metro USA had revenue last year of about $7 million and operated 14 trucks.
The deal will boost All Pro's revenue to about $24 million this year and will give the company close to 115 trucks. All Pro operates a 120,000-square-foot warehouse in Avon. "We've been acquiring about one company a year," Mr. Haas said. "This one took a little longer than I thought it would." It was also the largest transaction All Pro has made.
