The Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue law firm is joining the rush to California's Silicon Valley. Cleveland's largest law firm plans to open the doors to a three-lawyer office today, Oct. 9, in Palo Alto, said R. Todd Johnson, a partner and corporate lawyer from Jones Day's Washington, D.C., office who is heading the new office.
The office is Jones Day's 24th; it joins California offices in Los Angeles and Irvine. Jones Day plans to build the Palo Alto office to five lawyers by year-end. It has leased enough office space to accommodate up to 15 lawyers in two years, Mr. Johnson said.
