OSHA not seeing much support for ergonomics standard draft.(Brief Article)

WASHINGTON -- The most recent draft of a proposed federal ergonomics standard isn't drawing any better reviews from employers and insurers than its predecessors did. In fact, the new draft, dated Oct. 10 and obtained by some industry observers earlier this month, "is as bad or worse" than previous proposed versions of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's proposed standard, said Peter Eide, director of labor law policy for the U.S.
