Cincy sign maker aquires Adapt.(Adapt Engineering Inc. acquired by LSI Industries Inc.)(Brief Article)

Adapt Engineering Inc. in Westlake has been acquired by a Cincinnati-based maker of lighted signs and graphics that expects to get a boost from Adapt's construction and project management capabilities. LSI Industries Inc. this month bought Adapt for $4.5 million in cash and stock. Robert J.
Ready, LSI's president and chief executive officer, said the Westlake company will be renamed LSI Adapt and will become part of LSI's Image Group. Adapt has 13 employees in Westlake and 40 companywide; its other offices are in Atlanta, Seattle and Portland, Ore. Adapt posted sales of about $6 million last year, according to LSI.
