Fifth Third backing Cleveland State venture fund.(Fifth Third Bank to provide Cleveland State University College of Business Administration venture funding)(Brief Article)

Fifth Third Bank said it will provide $100,000 toward the formation of the Viking Venture Capital Fund at Cleveland State University's College of Business Administration. The fund is designed to aid CSU students, faculty and alumni in creating or supplementing new business ventures. For now, loans are expected to range from $5,000 to $50,000.

Rosemary Ramsey, interim dean of the College of Business Administration, said she hopes the fund eventually will grow to $1 million "primarily with the support of other businesses." The relationship between Fifth Third and CSU was established by Donald Graham, Fifth Third senior vice president and member of Cleveland State's Visiting Committee.
