A Florida publishing concern has acquired five Solon-based trade magazines from Adams Business Media. Nelson Publishing Inc., a family-owned trade publishing business based in Sarasota, bought the to complement its publications serving the same engineering and manufacturing markets, said Kristine Russell, Nelson vice president of operations.

``We're hoping to build a larger affinity group,'' Ms. Russell said. ``We're going to bring in our expertise and grow them. We're going to provide more of a team effort and information than they've had in the past.'' The former Adams magazines will debut in the Nelson fold with their September issues.
