MBNA still charging ahead ; Credit card giant to add building, 900 jobs in Beachwood.(Brief Article)

The growing world of plastic credit cards is about to stamp out another massive building in Beachwood and bring an additional 900 jobs to the eastern suburb. MBNA Corp., the affinity credit card company whose chairman and CEO is Cleveland Browns owner Al Lerner, is starting to construct a 190,000-square-foot building at its complex on Science Park Drive in Beachwood.

MBNA spokesman Jim Donahue said the company is building the four-story structure to house another 900 ``MBNA people,'' as it refers to its employees.
