Companies gear up for new round of ISO; Quality system upgrades must be done within next two years.(business industry standards)(Brief Article)

The pressure is on for manufacturers to adopt a new version of the ISO 9000 quality system. The developer of the ISO standards in Geneva, Switzerland, has established a deadline of December 2003 for companies to revise their systems to meet the new standards and obtain recertification as an ISO 9000: 2000 company, as the new designation is known.
