BMW Z4 The BMW Z4 replaces the popular Z3 roadster for 2003. While the larger Z4 remains a two-seater, its design is radically different from the Z3 with cleaner lines. Trunk space is expanded to accommodate two sets of golf bags. It initially will be available only as a convertible with either a manual or power soft top and a glass window with a defroster.
The Z4 offers a choice of two inline six-cylinder engines: a 2.5-liter rated at 184 horsepower or a 3-liter rated at 225 horsepower, available with a six-speed manual transmission.
