Nine Ben & Jerry's to open.(News)(Brief Article)

Byline: SHANNON MORTLAND Nine more Ben & Jerry's ice cream stores are set to open in Northeast Ohio this year - and there could be more to come. Jim & Nancy Kaufman, the husband-and-wife team that owns the Ben & Jerry's franchise rights to the northern half of Ohio, plan to open stores in Aurora, Avon, Beachwood, Brecksville, Chagrin Falls, Fairlawn, Lyndhurst and Hudson, Mr.
Kaufman said. The couple opened its first location in University Heights last September and this month opened two stores at Six Flags World of Adventure. Ben & Jerry's ice cream previously was sold locally only in supermarkets. The Fairlawn area will have two stores down the street from each other on Route 18 - one in Summit Mall and another in a strip mall, Mr. Kaufman said. The...
