Thanks in part to Title IX legislation, which tried to make life more equal for females, it happens more every year. Mike Kiely, the caddymaster at Canterbury Golf Club, and Rod Johnston, master professional at Portage Country Club, each enjoyed hearing their daughters, Colleen and Brittany, respectively, announce plans to attend Northwestern University, golf bags slung over their shoulders.
