New Internet pipeline meets need for speed; CSU, Case first universities to receive Third Frontier Network.(News)

Byline: TOM JACKSON Cleveland State University and Case Western Reserve University are the first universities in Ohio to be hooked up to Ohio's new Third Frontier Network, a fat Internet pipeline that will allow unprecedented collaborations between professors on different campuses. "It's like going from a horse-drawn buggy on a dirt road to a 10,000-lane superhighway,'' said Lev Gonick, Case's chief information officer.
