KeyCorp pushes program to protect against ID theft.(Finance)(Brief Article)

Byline: SHAWN A. TURNER KeyCorp has become the latest financial institution to expand its identity theft protection program in the wake of scandals at CitiFinancial and Time Warner Inc. The Cleveland-based banking company said it will begin offering Privacy Matters, its ID theft program, to all Key customers and noncustomers.
For the past year, about 4,500 Key clients already have made use of the service, said Martin Webb, vice president of retail insurance for Key. Privacy Matters is available to individuals for $9.95 a month and married couples for $14.95. The program provides credit card registration, which the bank says reduces the time needed to notify multiple credit card agencies in case of a theft, and also transfers funds to a credit card if an...
