Cedar Fair taps Pittsburgh agency to tout parks' perks; Campaigns to cater to attractions' differences.(News)

Byline: JOHN BOOTH Geauga Lake and Cedar Point have punched an out-of-state advertising ticket, parting ways with their local agencies as they head into the offseason seeking ways to boost attendance. Pittsburgh's MARC USA won the Sandusky amusement park's account following a review this fall, and parent company Cedar Fair subsequently shifted the Geauga Lake account there as well.

"We just have a unique opportunity here, because especially here in the Northeast Ohio market, both parks are valuable options for guests,'' Cedar Point spokesman Bryan Edwards said.
