100 JOBS CUT AT ICI PAINTS IN STRONGSVILLE * ICI Paints North America in Strongsville last Friday laid off 100 employees as the latest part of the fix-it strategy for the unit of London-based Imperial Chemical Industries. Matt Barkett, ICI Paints spokesman, said the 100 jobs were eliminated "really across the board'' at the company's North American headquarters and research unit in Strongsville.
Another 50 jobs were cut around the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. "It's a move designed to improve operational efficiency across North America,'' Mr. Barkett said.
