TIGERS SAY BALLPARK'S NAME SOUNDS SUITE AS SALES PITCH.

The Detroit Tigers hope that the stadium naming-rights deal with Comerica Inc. will provide an impetus to suite sales at the new ballpark. The 30-year, $66 million deal demonstrates local commitment and confidence in the 42,000-seat ballpark, said Tigers President John McHale. The stadium is to be called Comerica Park.

A day after the deal was announced in December, the team sold a suite to a company executive excited about the Comerica relationship, McHale said. The suite was the 51st leased by the Tigers of the 95 available for public consumption. The suites lease for $75,000 to $125,000 annually.
