SUPERIOR CONSULTANT'S STOCK JUMPS.(Brief Article)

Southfield-based Superior Consultant Holdings Corp. saw its stock price surge more than 20 percent last Thursday, from $32.13 to $39, after the health care consultant announced it has agreed to make a major investment in WebMD Inc., an online health care Web site. The amount of the investment won't be disclosed until this week.

"We've felt we've been undervalued for a while now," said Superior Consultant CEO Richard Helppie. "The application of e-commerce technologies coupled with Superior's management consulting services will bring about better health care, greater access and lower costs."
