Andersen plans Ann Arbor Web center .

The worldwide accounting firm Arthur Andersen L.L.P. plans to establish a major Internet development center in Ann Arbor. The center will be led by a longtime Ann Arbor Internet pioneer, Gary Baker, who is now a consultant in Andersen's Ann Arbor office. Baker said the center would have between 20 and 60 Internet developers initially, ``depending on how many we can find.'' Baker said the center would ``do a good share of the Internet development that Andersen is responsible for all over the world.'' Rick Stallings, partner in charge of the Arthur Andersen Business Consulting practice in Michigan, said the partnership decided in the fall of 1998 to create a Web development center in Michigan.
