Take out a big loan, get lunch with a Tiger? Well, maybe. Comerica Inc., the Detroit-based bank-holding company, says it's still exploring how it will use its $66 million relationship with the Detroit Tigers in its marketing efforts. Elsewhere around major-league sports, suite holders and major sponsors get perks ranging from cooking classes with current and former players to golf and theater outings with players and coaches.
There are rides on team buses and planes. There are fantasy camp spots and special clinics for kids. There are even some things that players don't like - such as in Toronto, where members of the Maple Leafs have to walk through a special suite holders' lounge to reach their locker room.
