Lear names Rossiter to succeed Way as CEO Southfield-based Lear Corp. (NYSE: LEA) today announced that its board of directors elected Robert Rossiter as CEO, effective Oct. 1. Current Chairman and CEO Kenneth Way will remain CEO until that date and then continue as chairman. Rossiter, 54, joined Lear in 1971.

He will continue as president and COO until Oct. 1. Way, 60, joined Lear in 1966. As chairman, he said, he plans to give full attention to building stronger relationships with Lear's business partners and expanding the company's operations. Lear Corp. also announced that it has been selected by Ford Motor Co. to develop the electronic and electrical architecture, including the smart junction box, for a future Ford vehicle.
