LANSING - There could be fallout over a provision in Michigan's new telecommunications law that expands local calling areas. State regulators have moved swiftly to gather interpretations of the provision, preparing for possible action after Gov. John Engler signs the bill today. What the Michigan Public Service Commission may eventually do wasn't evident late last week when comments were due.
