Utility commissioners call for response to service issues.(Ameritech and parent SBC Communications)(Brief Article)

LANSING - The chairs of the public-utility commissions in the five states served by Ameritech on Friday called on senior management of Ameritech and its parent, SBC Communications Inc., to take further action on service quality. The chairs of the Michigan Public Service Commission, the Illinois Commerce Commission, the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio and the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin said in a press release that representatives of their agencies would soon hold an unprecedented joint public meeting ``at which SBC/Ameritech should be prepared to deliver a comprehensive response to address service quality levels in the SBC/Ameritech region.''
