The offices of Jones Lang LaSalle Inc. cover the globe, and less than 1 percent of its 700 million square feet of managed property is in metro Detroit. But the Chicago-based property manager is among the largest in the area, overseeing about 6 million square feet in Michigan and employing about 150 people.
Although its corporate headquarters is out of state, Jones Lang LaSalle's Detroit executives say they understand the area. They say being bigger means greater access to information on most major real estate markets around the world.
