New dean recommended for UM biz school Robert Dolan, the Edward W. Carter professor of business administration at Harvard University's Graduate School of Business Administration, has been recommended as the new dean of the University of Michigan business school. The appointment will be effective July 1, pending approval by the board of regents.
Dolan also will be appointed a professor of marketing, with tenure, and as the Gilbert and Ruth Whitaker professor of business administration. Dolan had taught at Harvard since 1980.
