Scio Township is one of several sites Comcast Cable Communications Inc. is considering for an $18 million call center and help desk for Internet products. The center would add several hundred Comcast employees in Michigan. Comcast has 800 call-center employees spread over three shifts and 600 ``seats'' in Michigan, said Bill Black, director of public affairs at Comcast.
The new 80,000-square-foot building would open sometime during the third quarter of next year with 150-200 seats and ``expand rather quickly to 400 seats as we introduce new products,'' Black said.
