Few in the automotive supplier community have been as visible as Timothy Leuliette. With his colleagues at the Heartland Industrial Partners L.P. investment group, Leuliette played a major role in 2001 cobbling together a locally based company with $2.6 billion in annual revenue. In January, he announced the creation of Plymouth-based Metaldyne Corp., a metal-forging and casting business.

The $1.8 billion company was combined from MascoTech Inc., Simpson Industries Inc. and Global Metal Technologies Inc.
