Despite its growth from a part-time, one-man operation in 1976 to a company with revenue of $130 million and 1,100 employees in 2001, Southfield's Decision Consultants Inc. had one thing against it: size. Not anymore. Jack Krasula, CEO and owner, sold his information-technology services company to Greenwood, Colo.-based Ciber Inc.

(NYSE: CBR) for more than $50 million. The companies announced the deal Monday. Krasula said Decision Consultants' biggest obstacle to growth, its relative small size, is gone with the clout Ciber brings to the table: annual revenue of $558.9 million; 5,000 employees; operations in seven countries; 62 office locations in the United States, Canada and Europe; and a client list that includes a smattering of Fortune 500 companies....
