What is Internet2?(Brief Article)

Internet2 is the name of an Ann Arbor-based project that encompasses nearly 200 universities and about 100 businesses developing and deploying advanced Internet applications and technology. The purpose is keep pushing Internet technologies forward. It does this by applying new technologies developed by Internet2 members to its own network, said Doug Van Houweling, president and CEO of the University Corp.
