Stu Evans sheds 2 franchises.(Stu Evans Automotive Group Inc. )(Brief Article)

Clinton Township-based Stu Evans Automotive Group Inc. recently sold two franchises in order to concentrate on selling Lincolns and Mercurys, said John Evans, the dealership's owner, president and CEO. In May, Stu Evans Automotive sold a Ford franchise in Manchester back to Ford Motor Co.
and sold its Mazda franchise to Jerome Duncan Leasing Inc., the holding company for Sterling Heights-based Jerome-Duncan Ford. Evans said Chelsea-based Palmer Motor Sales Inc. was assigned Ford's Manchester area. Evans said the franchises were distractions from the Lincoln-Mercury business that has made his company successful since 1945.
