DSL company adds antitrust allegations to battle with SBC.(Technology)(Colin Communications Inc.)

Byline: Amy Lane After first suing SBC Communications Inc. for breach of contract, Highland Park-based Colin Communications Inc. is taking the telecommunications giant to court on antitrust claims. Colin, a network-management company, seeks damages of more than $1 billion in a suit alleging that subsidiaries of San Antonio-based SBC (NYSE: SBC) engaged in anti-competitive behavior by failing to live up to a 2000 agreement between Colin and SBC to provide high-speed digital subscriber line service.
The suit, filed in December in Wayne County Circuit Court, amends an initial complaint that Colin filed last spring. Colin contends SBC didn't provide the DSL technology that Colin needed and failed to meet time lines to build a high-capacity network to handle...
