The feeling David Fry had in 1999 when his company was landing big-dollar deals to build Web sites wasn't what you would expect. ``We arrived at a situation where the company expanded so rapidly that we did not have a good understanding of what our business was doing,'' said Fry, president and CEO of Fry Inc.

``We tripled in size during the last six months of 1999.'' But then the revenue pool dried up.
