Covisint looks to help cut cost of communicating.(News)

Byline: ralph kisiel Three major auto suppliers are working with the domestic automakers to develop a messaging service to streamline the way they send and receive documents. The idea is to make Covisint L.L.C. a central messaging hub. Suppliers and automakers would send orders, shipping schedules and other documents to Covisint through the Internet.

Covisint then would put the data into a desired format and send it on. The goal is to drive more cost out of the supply chain by centralizing the sending and receiving of information.
