Now he sees handrails, conference tables and glow-in-the-dark bunk beds and loft systems. "It's like Tinkertoys,'' Venegas said. "You can do anything with them.'' Ideal Group Inc.'s relatively simple idea 12 years ago to slide a plastic tube over a steel bumper post has evolved into a separate company that now has nine product lines - including an aluminum handrail system installed at Ford Field.
Now a separate company, Detroit-based Ideal Shield L.L.C. has installed similar handrails at Ford Motor Co.'s new Ford Truck Plant in Dearborn, participated in a demonstration project at Shea Stadium in New York City and is vying for...
