Covisint sues primary technology vendor; Suit comes after Commerce One files for arbitration.(News)(auto supplier, software maker team up)

Byline: Andrew Dietderich Covisint L.L.C. and Commerce One Inc. joined forces in 2000 to revolutionize the way auto suppliers do business, but after three years have turned on each other. A lawsuit filed July 2 in Oakland County Circuit Court by Southfield-based Covisint against Pleasanton, Calif.-based Commerce One (Nasdaq: CMRC) and holding company CVX Holdco L.L.C.
alleges Commerce One breached its contract. Covisint signed Commerce One to a 10-year deal in December 2000 to help develop, install, operate, provide support and maintain a comprehensive online marketplace for procurement of parts, suppliers and services.
