Byline: Amy Lane Businesses may pay more for energy in 2004, no matter if they use electricity, natural gas or steam. Major utility companies that serve Southeast Michigan customers are asking state regulators for permission to charge more, but in some instances to charge less, in a deluge of nearly $1 billion in rate cases that has watchdog business adversaries in action.
