Eminem giving large when it comes to charity Marshall Mathers' public image may not be as squeaky clean as Jerry Mathers', but a lot of Detroit area kids have the former to thank for coats this winter. Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, has been a regular donor to WJLB 97.1 FM 's Coats for Kids for the past four years.
"With all of the high-profile people we have in Detroit giving to the program, as a single individual, (Mathers) has always given the most,'' said Dody Johnson, director of public relations and community services for WJLB. Last year, after WJLB's nonprofit organization did its annual coat distribution the week of Thanksgiving, Mathers visited the radio station and asked about the yellow sticky notes with children's names on them that he saw....
