Lear puts together land for $40M HQ expansion Lear Corp. has assembled land for a $40 million-plus headquarters expansion in Southfield, but the company says the plans still are preliminary. Nicholas Banda, director of planning and business resource development for the city of Southfield, said Lear plans a "consolidated campus.'' The company is scheduled to present a site plan in mid-February, he said.
Lear showed the city a preliminary plan late last year, but more property became available, which changed the proposed plan, Banda said. Andrea Puchalski, director of corporate communications for Lear, said the plan is only in the "proposal phase'' and a decision won't be made for a couple of months.
