Byline: Brent Snavely The Nasdaq National Market notified Southfield-based Credit Acceptance Corp. that the company's stock was delisted before the market opened Wednesday. Credit Acceptance (Nasdaq: CACCE) said in a statement Tuesday that it had asked the Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Panel for more time to file its 2004 annual report and quarterly reports for this year, but the panel denied the request.
Credit Acceptance, which specializes in auto loans to consumers whose credit is considered risky, said it learned in April that it must change the way it accounts for auto loans. Credit Acceptance said the restatement process could take six months or more. The company said it intends to reapply for listing when it has completed the restatement....
