Byline: Shawn Selby Corporate employees at Domino's Pizza in Ann Arbor know how to make a pizza the Domino's way - they've been sent to school to learn how. Domino's Pizza Prep School teaches office-based employees how to run a Domino's Pizza store by actually running one at the company headquarters, Corporate Communications Manager Holly Ryan said in her nomination.
Participants are timed on making a large pepperoni pizza and judged on how they handle the store's Friday-night dinner rush. Graduates are given a golden "spoodle,'' a spoon-ladle used to slather sauce onto pizza dough. They can jump in and help whenever they visit a Domino's store, Ryan said.
