Byline: Brent Snavely Learning Care Group Inc. said Nov. 15 that it has agreed to be acquired by A.B.C. Learning Centres Ltd., Australia's largest provider of private child-care services, for $159.1 million. Learning Care Group (Nasdaq: LCGI) said its board of directors unanimously approved the sale.
The share price of the sale was set at $7.50. "Learning Care Group is excited to begin this next phase in its corporate growth, and this cash merger with A.B.C. will only add to the already-strong reputations of Childtime and Tutor Time,'' Bill Davis, CEO of Learning Care Group, said in a statement.
