Gov. wants high court to intervene in land sale Gov. Jennifer Granholm has asked the Michigan Supreme Court to reassert jurisdiction over a legal dispute involving a state land sale for a Toyota Motor Corp. research and development center in York Township. The Supreme Court in December had issued an order that sent a losing bidder's appeal of the land sale back to the Michigan Court of Appeals for a second look.
West Bloomfield Township-based DPG York L.L.C. had offered $25.2 million for the 690-acre York Township site, but the State Administrative Board last April approved an agreement for Toyota Technical Center USA Inc. to buy it for $11 million.
