Credit union withdraws bank-conversion application DFCU Financial Federal Credit Union of Dearborn, the largest credit union in the state with about $1.8 billion in assets and about 160,000 members, announced Monday it has withdrawn its application to convert to a bank. An opposition group had amassed enough signatures to schedule a meeting to vote on recalling DFCU's board of directors.
The conversion would have been the largest in U.S. history. Dispute shuts Freedom Hill Barring a miracle, there will not be a concert season this year at Freedom Hill due to a dispute over parking fees between the amphitheater and the county, said Hank Riberas, spokesman for Hillside Productions Inc. and director of real estate for Sterling Heights-based Roncelli Inc....
