Altarum acquires health care research company for $10.5M.(Altarum Institute)(Health Systems Research Inc.)

Byline: Sherri Begin Altarum Institute has paid $10.5 million to acquire a Washington-based for-profit company. Health Systems Research Inc. will operate as a for-profit subsidiary until it is merged with the nonprofit over the next 18 months, said Altarum CEO Ken Baker. "We want to work through what the best practices of each organization are and have an orderly migration into the nonprofit,'' he said.
