Byline: Bowdeya Tweh Denny Freitag moved to Detroit six years ago based on a recommendation from her son, who was looking for a place to live near Wayne State University. "My son was saying, `We found the perfect place. It's cheap. You gotta come and see it,' '' she said. She would live in the condo for three years, and it served as a springboard to her current home on West Willis in Midtown.
Freitag, 54, and her husband, Richard, 60, found the urban setting they wanted, and their sons were able to keep their Dearborn home, which has been in the family for four generations.
