She talked with Crain's reporter Bill Shea about the impact on local housing from Google Inc.'s announcement that it would hire up to 1,000 over the next five years for an Ann Arbor area headquarters for its AdWords unit.
Google traditionally employs young people, in their 20s and 30s, who often don't have families. What areas stand to benefit from this influx of youth?
