Altarum sells division to MTU Altarum Institute has entered into an agreement to sell its Environmental and Emerging Technologies Division to Michigan Technological University in Houghton for $1.4 million. The division, which will remain in Ann Arbor, employs 24 and posts $4 million in annual gross research revenue.
The sale is part of Altarum's plan to focus on health systems research, an approach it announced in April when it converted its defense-research segment into a for-profit subsidiary for eventual sale.
